On May 4, the KICT conducted a volunteer activity in collaboration with local small business owners in the city of Goyang, to celebrate the “family month” of May. This activity focused on providing beauty services to socially marginalized groups; specifically, elderly individuals who are living alone.

The event took place at Ecorevi & Orange Hair, located in Daehwa-dong, Ilsanseo-gu. It was attended by six KICT staff members, including President Kim Byung-suk, as well as four hairdressers and a welfare worker from the Daehwa Senior Welfare Center in Goyang.

This volunteer activity was conducted as part of KICT’s social contribution initiatives. The International Cooperation and Public Relations Department, as the team responsible for social contributions, stated that, “Through this event, we aim to strengthen the collaboration network between the KICT and the local community and realize social value.”
