On July 24, the KICT held a ceremony for the donation of goods and funds to the Community Chest of Korea of Northern Gyeonggi, a local nonprofit organization.

In June, the KICT held an official ceremony commemorating 40 years since its establishment, during which the KICT announced its new vision of “40 years of national land construction, 100 years of future construction together.” Institutions invited to the ceremony were urged to donate rice to the needy instead of the traditional celebratory wreaths. The rice donations were combined with funds earned by selling items, made by clubs of KICT employees, at various events.

The KICT, in a goodwill gesture in honor of its 40th anniversary, donated the rice to a local administrative welfare center and the monetary funds to the Community Chest of Korea of Northern Gyeonggi. The donations will be given to beneficiaries selected by Goyang City Hall and the administrative welfare centers in Goyang.
