On November 1, the KICT delivered a presentation on its “no-fear” achievements in 2023 in the 30th Anniversary Hall at its Ilsan headquarters.

The presentation, streamed live online, gave an overview of 10 research projects conducted by new researchers. Products related to each project were exhibited on the first floor of the main building of the KICT’s Ilsan headquarters from October 30 to November 11, and an online vote was conducted internally at the KICT to decide on the winning projects.

The KICT Presidential Award at this year’s “No-Fear Achievement Presentation” was shared by two researchers: Senior Researcher Joo Hyun-jin of the Department of Highway & Transportation Research for “the development of a sensitive traffic signaling system based on reinforced learning for aged pedestrians,” and Senior Researcher Kim Dong-ku of the Department of Geotechnical Engineering Research for “the development of a laser drilling technology for new-concept rock excavation.”

The “No-Fear Achievement Presentation,” which recognizes the research achievements made by new researchers, has been an annual tradition at the KICT since 2012.
