On November 22, the KICT signed an MOU with the Korea District Heating Corporation (KDHC) that aims to advance smart safety management technology for heat transport facilities at its Ilsan headquarters.

The agreement will see the KICT and the Korea District Heating Corporation work closely to advance technology capable of predicting and integratively managing risks in heat transport facilities, and to discover practical technology for heat transport facility safety management.

Working to develop the necessary safety management technology, the two partners will come up with improved models for heat transport facility data sharing, risk prediction, and fast decision-making, and develop thermal imaging and analysis AI for detecting damaged heat transport channels.
