National Research Council of Science and Technology (NST) Chairman Kim, Yeung-Shik paid an official visit to the KICT’s Ilsan headquarters.
During the visit, Chairman Kim met with KICT President Park Sun-kyu, who briefed him on the institute’s R&D efforts. Following the briefing, Chairman Kim toured several research facilities, gaining insight into the KICT’s latest R&D achievements and real-world applications of technologies developed by the institute.
At the Future Convergence Hall, Chairman Kim inspected the Dusty Thermal Vacuum Chamber (DTVC), the world’s largest of its kind, used to validate space construction technology. He also visited Smart Construction Support Center 2, where he engaged with members of resident startups, learning about the field applications of smart construction technology and gathering feedback from a business perspective.
This official visit comes as the KICT and NST continue discussions to strengthen their collaboration in R&D.
