On September 10, the Korea Institute of Civil Engineering and Building Technology (KICT) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Korea Western Power at the latter’s headquarters in Taean County, South Chungcheong Province.
Under the agreement, the two organizations will collaborate to enhance the safety of zero-carbon power generation technologies and advance the practical implementation of carbon neutrality.
“The KICT is a government-funded research institute dedicated to developing technologies for carbon reduction and carbon neutrality, with a particular focus through our Hydrogen Infrastructure Research Center,” KICT President Park Sun-kyu stated. “Our partnership with Korea Western Power, a key player in green energy development, is expected to generate R&D outcomes with strong practical value.”
