On September 22, the Korea Institute of Civil Engineering and Building Technology (KICT) signed an MOU with the 2050 Presidential Commission on Carbon Neutrality and Green Growth and LG Electronics at its headquarters in Ilsan to promote the use of tumblers as part of green construction initiatives.
The agreement encourages occupants of buildings certified under the Green Standard for Energy and Environmental Design (G-SEED) to replace disposable cups with reusable tumblers, contributing to carbon neutrality and sustainable lifestyles.
Joint initiatives will include public awareness campaigns, development of G-SEED-related construction frameworks, and solutions to facilitate convenient tumbler use.
