KICT-Gwangju City Sign MOU to solve urban issues

On December 13th, KICT signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Gwangju City to establish a testbed for advanced construction technologies to address urban issues.
The signing ceremony was attended by Kwak Ki-seok, Director of the Industry Innovation Department at KICT, Lee Sang-gap, Deputy Mayor of Culture and Economy at Gwangju Metropolitan City, Choi Chi-guk, Director of Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology, Kim Young-jip, Director of Gwangju Technopark, and Ko Sang-yeon, Director of Gwangju Climate and Energy Agency.
Under the agreement, KICT will utilize its advanced construction technologies to carry out demonstrations and address policy challenges, including solving urban issues in Gwangju. Gwangju Metropolitan City will support the demonstration collaboration projects by providing technological and human resources from regional research and support organizations, such as the Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology, Gwangju Technopark, and Gwangju Climate and Energy Agency.
