On December 2, the Korea Institute of Civil Engineering and Building Technology (KICT) held a kimchi donation event at Daehwa Senior Welfare Center in Goyang. As part of its ongoing commitment to community service, the KICT has carried out this annual kimchi donation initiative since 2022.

KICT employees—including President Park Sun-kyu—along with approximately 30 members of the Daehwa Senior Welfare Center participated in the event, preparing kimchi to be shared with vulnerable elderly residents. The participating KICT employees expressed hope that the donated kimchi would help provide warmth and comfort to seniors during the winter season.

The kimchi was prepared using ingredients purchased by the KICT and distributed to 347 households of vulnerable elderly individuals. The KICT plans to continue engaging in a wide range of community outreach and goodwill activities to support local communities.
