Mr.Kim, Byung-Suk(Ph.D) was inaugurated as the 15th President of the Korea Institute of Civil Engineering and Building Technology at 11 AM on April 12, 2021 (Mon) at the 30th Anniversary Hall of the KICT Headquarters in Ilsan.
The inauguration ceremony was held in compliance with COVID-19 containment guidelines, with only the minimum number of personnel in attendance offline. The event was broadcast live through the KICT’s official YouTube channel.
President Kim, Byung-Suk is the first-ever KICT president to be appointed internally by the institute. In his 37 years of service since first joining the KICT in 1984, he has served in positions such as Senior Director of Research, Department of Infrastructure Research and SOC Performance Research Center Director, and Head of the Planning and Coordination Division.
