From June 16 to 20, 2024, the KICT participated in the 2024 Canada-Korea Conference on Science and Technology (CKC 2024) held in Banff, Alberta (Canada).

This marked the 14th edition of the conference since its inception in 2011. CKC 2024 featured technical and specialized sessions, alongside forums covering a wide array of topics that included clean energy, artificial intelligence, and quantum technology.

During the Sustainable International R&D Collaboration Summit, KICT President Kim Byung-suk presented the successful implementation of KICT's cluster system, which spearheads integrated convergence research initiatives. His discussion underscored KICT's commitment to international cooperation, focusing on addressing pressing human challenges such as disaster response and fostering sustainable development.

In addition, the KICT hosted a forum at CKC 2024 with the theme “AI-based Innovative Solutions for Climate Change and Future Society,” and maintained an institutional promotion booth throughout the event.
