On August 14, KICT concluded an MOU for exchange and collaboration in the research of smart construction and construction materials with the Vietnam Institute for Building Science and Technology (IBST) in Hanoi, Vietnam.
The MOU signing ceremony was held with KICT President Kim Byung-suk, research personnel of the KICT, IBST Director Nguyen Hong Hai, and other IBST officials in attendance.
The agreement will see the scope of technical exchanges and collaboration between the KICT and Vietnam and other ASEAN countries expand beyond engineering and construction to encompass all areas of smart construction, including building information modeling and energy efficiency, as well as the testing and certification of construction materials.
