Since 2004, KICT has run an educational program on construction technologies aimed at developing children and young people's interest in science and construction technologies 02

KICT offers various social contribution activities targeting the underprivileged in local communities; such as donations towards living expense assistant, health insurance payment, living conditions improvement, and visits during the year-end and New Year. 03

When KICT opened its Building Safety Performance Research Center in Hwaseong in 2006, it formed a sister-relationship with the local community. Since then, KICT has been active in various social contribution activities through its one-town-per- company movement, such as Adopt-a-Village programs or a farmer's market. In 2010, thanks to its contribution to the development of sister towns, KICT was chosen as a certified agency for the one-town-per-one-company movement.

Employees at KICT pledge to do our best in fulfilling the social responsibility of KICT as a government research organization by recognizing social contribution activities as part of our routine management activities.

  2. 02We contribute to solving social issues and developing the local society by practicing strategic and specialized social contribution activities that are connected to the research institute's management strategies and core capacity (knowledge and technology).
  3. 03We create the synergy of cooperation required for social innovation by promoting social contribution activities based on a collaborative network with local authorities, civic groups, and other related organizations.
  4. 04We occupy a respected position as a member of the local society by actively leading and participating in various sharing activities of human and material resources for the socially disadvantaged.
