Structural Engineering Research Institute is managed by accomplished researchers that oversee a domestic and overseas network of experts that utilize state-of-the-art research equipment and facilities to develop eco-friendly, safe, and economical infrastructure. It develops technologies that proactively respond to changing environment and future construction markets in domestic and overseas construction business areas. New technology focuses on the implementation of high-performance construction materials and smart that integrate IT technology. Significant convergent technology opportunities are available for core industrial sectors such as: maritime, transportation, extreme environments, space, machinery, and nuclear power. Structural Engineering Research Institute also develops future construction technologies, conducts material tests, evaluates structure and performance qualifications, and verifies structure and performance standards.
