Introduction

The Indoor Air Quality Research Center (IAQRC) is committed to providing multifaceted and reliable information on indoor environments that have important influence on citizens’ health, thereby contributing to ultimately improving the quality of their lives. The IAQRC focuses on 1) developing indoor air quality (IAQ) databases, 2) maximizing the accessibility to and utilization of indoor air quality information using IAQ indices and visualization, 3) saving energy and optimizing indoor air quality based on measurement and prediction technologies, and 4) developing facility-specific proactive solutions to improving our living environments and safety. At the IAQRC we will take advantage of future technologies in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution in order to improve indoor air quality for vulnerable social groups and develop integrated solutions to energy and environment issues and safety management.
