On September 19, KICT (President Seung Heon Han) held the Global Joint Program–Cities at the 2nd World Smart City Week (WSCW) at KINTEX, Ilsan, to share “best cases” of domestic and overseas smart cities and to discuss methods for cooperation.

The 2nd WSCW was held at KINTEX from September 18 to 20 and was co-hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport and the Ministry of Science and ICT. The event, one of the largest smart-city fairs in Korea, was participated in by local governments, experts in smart city-related industries, company representatives, renowned scholars, service developers, and citizens participating in smart city living labs.

During the fair, KICT researchers operated a promotional booth at the Korea Pavilion, presenting information on KICT’s major smart city technologies and services (i.e. Goyang Living Lab and Korea-Vietnam Smart City Cooperative Management). The pavilion was located in Halls 4 and 5 of the 1st Exhibition Hall at KINEX and received a good response from visitors.
