KICT held the 3rd M2 VILLAGE National Assembly Forum for the Diversification of Space Development in Seminar Room 3 of the National Assembly Building on October 30 (Tuesday) at 10 am.
The forum was hosted by Kyoung Tae Cho, an assemblyman of the Liberty Korea Party, and organized by KICT. The event was co-sponsored by the Ministry of Science and ICT, the National Research Council of Science & Technology, the Korea Aerospace Research Institute, the Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources, and the Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute.
The 1st M2 VILLAGE National Assembly Forum, titled “1st Moon VILLAGE Forum,” was held in June 2017 for the diversification of space development in Korea. The second forum expanded its scope to the moon and Mars, as reflected in the title “M2 VILLAGE Forum.”
A special lecture was given by invited lecturer Dr. Sang H. Choi, the General Manager of the Advanced Material Processing Division at NASA’s Langley Research Center. Dr. Choi lectured on the theme “Challenge for a Manned Mission to the Moon and Mars and the Utilization of Resources Upon Landing.”
