The Korea Institute of Civil Engineering and Building Technology (KICT) recently announced the expansion and restructuring of its Overseas Information System for Construction Engineering (OVICE). OVICE is a system that provides small- and medium-sized construction firms with tailored technical information on major overseas markets. Service of the revised system will begin on March 11 (Monday).
OVICE is an information system that was established in 2016 with the purpose of providing support to Korean small- and mid-sized constructions firms experiencing difficulties gathering the business information needed to successfully make inroads into overseas markets. The system’s website offers detailed information on laws, institutions, licenses and permits, bidding and contracting, and engineering and project management (procurement, equipment labor, taxes, etc.) for countries overseas. The website is an invaluable resource for small and medium enterprises, which often have difficulty collecting detailed information on target countries.
Revisions to OVICE include expansion of information covering a larger number of countries; guidebooks on overseas business; and, individualized information services.
