The KICT's modular construction industry exhibition Modular Korea 2022, the first construction industry event in Korea to focus entirely on modular and precast construction, was held at KINTEX in Ilsan from March 3 to 6.

The event was jointly organized by the KICT and the ‎exhibition marketing platform Messe Esang, with some 30 participating companies operating around 200 booths, including the well-known brands Posco A&C, Kolon E&C, Yuchang E&C, and KC Industry, as well as the newer brands NRB and TenEleven.

On the first day of the event a forum, officially titled the K-Modular Form, was held on construction and engineering innovation. The forum began with an opening address by KICT President Kim Byung-suk and a keynote address by Seoul National University Emeritus Professor Lee Hyun-suk, followed by construction and engineering presentations and panel discussions.

The KICT booth and those operated by other participating companies highlighted off-site construction (OSC) modules, as well as technologies, methods, materials, and solutions for modular construction, prefabrication, and precast concrete work. There were also other exhibitions on existing housing, schools, and mobile structures with OSC features.

Modular Korea 2022 also included a smart construction technology conference and export consultation sessions that further promoted the products and services of participating companies.
