On December 27, the board of the KICT and representatives of the Korean Peninsula Infrastructure Committee and Defense Installations Agency (DIA) gathered at KICT’s headquarters in Ilsan to engage in technical discussions around the modernization of national defense facilities and support for the Korean defense industry’s global market leadership.

In 2022, the KICT and the Defense Installations Agency held a joint seminar on the development of defense facilities and have maintained collaborative relations in the private and military sectors since, most notably in the research and development of defense installations. DIA Director Cho Byung-yoon and other officials from the agency previously visited the KICT in April last year to discuss exchanges and collaboration.
