KICT Signs MOU With Samsung C&T for Research on Soundproof Floors

On May 26, the KICT signed an MOU with Samsung C&T’s “Raemian Goyo-an Lab” at Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do where the lab is located.
The KICT agreed to collaborate with Samsung C&T on joint research in order to establish technological standards and develop policies regarding reduction of noise between floors in residential buildings. Samsung C&T opened the soundproof floor research complex “Raemian Goyo-an Lab” on this day, and the MOU with the KICT was finalized just before the opening ceremony.
Through the MOU, the KICT plans to develop policies and superb floor soundproofing technologies at a lower cost in order to provide a more comfortable environment for people living in apartments.
