Public Officials from Various Ministries Visit the KICT

On May 11, 2022, a notable group of public officials visited the KICT’s Ilsan headquarters.
Public officials with a ranking of grade 4 (director) and higher from the Ministry of Science and ICT, Ministry of Employment and Labor, and more paid a visit to KICT President Kim Byung-suk and researchers to tour KICT research facilities, including the super concrete cable-stayed bridge, dusty thermal vacuum chamber (DTVC), and more.
In 2022, the Ministry of Personnel Management and the Ministry of Science and ICT started to run a long-term KAIST training course for public officials with a rank of director or higher from various ministries to foster key leaders that can respond to the rapidly changing technological environment. The selected public officials visit a research site every week as part of the training process to learn onsite while interacting with researchers.
