Korea Institute of Civil Engineering and Building Technology (KICT) discussed the means of technological cooperation with respect to traffic infrastructure with the Paraguayan Ambassador to Korea, Mr. Silvero, at the headquarters in Ilsan in February 23.
KICT negotiated the means of sharing Korean construction technology and economic development through construction by inviting the Ministers of Construction of seven countries including Paraguay on November 4, 2015. At the time, the Ministers of Construction of Rep. of South Africa, Madagascar, Pakistan, and more, visited, and MOUs were concluded with certain countries, such as Paraguay, for continued technological cooperation and support.
This negotiation was initiated in order to establish the specific means of cooperation between the two countries after the conclusion of the MOU, and mainly discussed the possible methods of cooperation concerning roads that may be constructed by small-and-medium construction corporations. KICT is making a concerted effort to support the overseas advancement of small-and-medium construction corporations, centered on the Construction Industry Innovation Center.
