On September 8th, during the 1st World Smart City Week (WSCW 2017) held at KINTEX in Ilsan, KICT held the ‘2017 Smart City Service Awards 2017.’ At the ceremony, awards were given and presentations were made to recognize outstanding domestic and foreign smart city technologies and services.

The ‘Smart City Service Awards 2017’ event organized by KICT was held in the form of a conference to introduce outstanding cases of services applied in smart city projects, both in Korea and abroad. Awards and case presentations were made for nine foreign cities, including Oslo (Norway), Sydney (Australia), Tianjin and Shanghai (China), Amsterdam (the Netherlands), Turku (Finland), Kranj (Slovenia), Kampala (Uganda), and Izmir (Turkey). For Korea, the Smart Cities of Goyang and Suwon were highlighted.
